•Is it always the same members?
If any one from the normal line up is not available, we prefer not to take a booking on that day. However, on the rare occasions that it is unavoidable, we do have reliable replacements. Being professional musicians involved in a number of projects, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the line up.
•Our venue has a sound limiter. Is this ok?
It depends on many factors, such as what level the limiter is set to and where it takes the reading from. For more info, check out our page on sound limiters here.
•Do you have a contract?
Yes. We provide a contract to protect both the band and the client.
•How far do you travel?
World wide. However, there would be additional cost to cover expenses for travel and accomodation for gigs particularly far afield.
•How long do you play for?
Our standard is 2 x 1 hour sets. Additional sets can be added, but would be an addition expense.
•Do you have insurance?
Yes. We have public liability insurance for damages up to £10,000,000.
•Do you have your own lights and PA system?
Yes. We have a top quality PA system and a lighting rig adequate for both the stage and dance floor.
•Do you have an engineer?
Yes. We pride ourselves on the professional quality of our show. To ensure this we have an engineer for all events to get the best quality sound. Our sound engineer is as much a part of the band as the musicians.
•How long do you need to set up?
Ideally we need at least an hour to setup, sound check, sort out any issues, and tidy up and get the stage looking presentable. This can be a disruptive process so we prefer to do this before any guests arrive, or at least while guests are in a different room.
•What will you wear?
We always dress smartly and suitably for the occasion.
•Do you take requests?
We can learn specific songs to play at your event. The first dance at a wedding is free. Any other songs have an additional charge of £60 per song to cover rehearsal costs.
•Do you accept more than one booking in one day?
It is rarely possible for the band to play at more then one event in the same day.
•How long do the breaks last?
The timing for when we play and how long our breaks last can be tailored to your schedule.
•Can you play recorded music during the break?
Yes, we are happy to provide suitable recorded music to play through our PA system during the breaks. Alternatively, you can book a DJ through MCE Music to ensure the party atmosphere never lets up.
•Do you expect to be fed?
Our contract states that the band should be provide with a hot meal and soft drinks.
•What about deposits and payment?
Bookings are secured by a deposit of £200.
